Turbine Tango game details

How to play Turbine Tango

Turbine Tango is a compact pressure-control sequence. Four valves receive load in a visible rhythm, and the centre panel always names the turbine that will receive the next pulse. Read the gauges, choose the valve that needs relief, and spend coolant before any indicator reaches its limit. The challenge comes from deciding where limited coolant belongs, not from hidden commands or a timer outside the screen.

  • Arrow keys or A and D: move the selection across the four valves.
  • Space or Enter: release coolant at the selected valve.
  • Tap or click: release a touched valve directly on phones, tablets, and computers.
  • P, Escape, or the pause button: pauses a shift without losing its current state.
  • R: starts a new sequence whenever you want another practice run.

Three shifts with readable risk

Each shift contains eight beats. Before a beat, the core displays the next turbine that will receive the largest pressure increase while every gauge remains on screen. When overall pressure stays low, one coolant unit returns to the reservoir. That rewards a well-timed choice without making it safe to empty every valve blindly. The second and third shifts shorten the beat interval while keeping the exact same rules and controls.

Checkpoint, local result, and rhythm sound

After the first and second completed shifts, the current calibration becomes a local checkpoint. If a turbine crosses its limit, one restore can return to the last calibrated shift; it does not create points or pretend that a run was completed. Stabilising all three shifts stores only this browser's best result. Rhythm tones and valve sounds are synthesised by the browser after your first action, and the player audio control can mute them.
