How to play Cipher Vault

Cipher Vault is a deduction game built around a four-signal key. Choose from six colours and fill the four positions. After checking the key, gold marks show signals in the exact position and violet marks show correct signals placed elsewhere. Read each response and revise the next attempt; there are no off-screen clues or secret rules.

• Tap or click: choose one of six signals, then use ERASE or CHECK.
• Keys 1 through 6: places that signal in the selected key position.
• Arrow keys: moves the active key position.
• Backspace or Delete: removes the active signal.
• Enter or Space: checks a complete key; P pauses the attempt.

Three readable vaults

Every run opens three vaults with keys defined by the game itself. Each vault starts with seven attempts, and every response remains visible on the board. When they run out, you can use one optional recovery for three real additional attempts or restart only the current vault. Difficulty comes from comparing feedback, not a timer, purchase, or hidden information.

Local score and optional sharing

Your score drops only with attempts used, so an early key is worth more. When all three vaults are open, the game stores your best result only in this browser. It does not show players, ratings, play totals, or a global leaderboard without real data. Share opens native sharing when available or copies the result after you choose it.
